Summary: Top-ranked multinational law firm is seeking a Director of Legal Recruiting to oversee the summer associate, lateral associate and partner recruiting program of a busy corporate law firm. Director will work closely with the Attorney Professional Development team in developing and executing strategic plans for attorney advancement and retention. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior leadership and partners in lateral hiring 

  • Oversee lateral recruiting candidate pipeline (submission review, profile presentation, interviewing and feedback); work closely with executive compensation team 

  • Maintain a pulse on hiring marketing trends; research for competitive intelligence 

  • Negotiate and draft agreements; partner with marketing team for brand cohesiveness

  • Consistently evaluate candidate experience and find room for improvement and praise

  • Monitor and evaluate lateral hiring metrics; ensure positive experience for candidates 

  • Oversee summer associate and OCI process

  • Manage legal recruiting team

  • Maintain relationships with partners, search firms and members of the community to ensure success in lateral and associate hiring 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (JD is a plus)

  • 10+ years of Legal Recruiting experience 

  • Must be innovative, analytical and have a collaborative approach to problem solving

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with executives on plan and execution of strategic goals

  • Distinguished leadership qualities and superb communication skills

  • Strong ability to collaborate with senior executives

  • Sound judgment and discretion
