Summary: Top-ranked employment law firm is seeking a Director of Human Resources to oversee the Firm’s employee relations and retention efforts. Director will work closely with the Senior Director of Operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic HR leadership with a focus on employee relations
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop solutions regarding personnel-related issues
  • Stay up to date on regulations, industry trends, current practices and new developments as related to HR
  • Maintain the Firm’s Employee Handbook up to date
  • Develop, implement and maintain personnel policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal requirements and firm policy
  • Work closely with the HR Generalist to manage and facilitate daily HR-related matters
  • Create, implement and maintain a culture of respect, inclusion, innovation and development in alignment with the Firm’s DE&I goals
  • Work closely with the Payroll and Benefits Manager to oversee payroll management and firm-sponsored benefit plans, programs and policies
  • Coordinate and execute onboarding and talent integration processes
  • Support the Firm’s employee review and development processes
  • Conduct exit interviews

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7+ years of relevant Human Resources experience
  • 2+ years as the head of the Human Resources department or similar position in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Must be innovative, analytical and have a collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with executives on plan and execution of strategic goals
  • Distinguished leadership qualities and superb communication skills
  • Strong ability to collaborate with senior executives
  • Sound judgment and discretion
