SUMMARY: Seeking a Corporate Paralegal Supervisor in Midtown to oversee the firmwide Corporate Paralegal Department, reporting directly to the Director of Paralegals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and maintain scheduling calendar for paralegals

  • Keep record of paralegal assignments to ensure ongoing support to attorneys

  • Correspond with other support departments to ensure that the needs for all projects are being efficiently and effectively met

  • Manage deadlines and ensure KPI's are reached

  • Provide initial and ongoing training and support to the corporate paralegal team

  • Develop and continuously improve/update training materials

  • Assist Director of Paralegal Support with monitoring paralegal performance, workload and productivity

  • Provide assistance with vendor invoice payments as well as entity management

  • Act as a team player to provide additional support whenever necessary

  • Collaborate closely with attorneys across all phases of corporate transactions (due diligence, transaction signing, transaction closing and post-closing)

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal or corporate paralegal supervisor at a large law firm 

  • Experience as a supervisor is preferred

  • Familiar with all types of corporate transactions, corporate documents, transaction sequences and what is involved at each stage, SEC and EDGAR filings and rules

  • Excellent work ethic and strong teamwork skills in a high volume, high pressure environment

  • Must be flexible, organized, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a calm, pleasant demeanor

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff and clients
