CORPORATE PARALEGAL MANAGER

LOCATION: New York, NY | Washington, DC

SUMMARY: The Corporate Paralegal Manager is responsible for managing the Corporate Paralegal team. The ideal candidate will be in charge of training, hiring, service delivery, work allocation and various administrative duties. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report to the Director of Corporate Practice
  • Monitor and manages work allocation
  • Manage ATO and other requests to ensure coverage
  • Monitor Corporate Paralegals’ hours, utilization and scope of responsibilities 
  • Coordinate cross-practice/department support as needed
  • Manage the timecard approval process and ensure compliance with the Firm’s timekeeping policies
  • Responsible for the Paralegal team operations 
  • Maintain effective relationships with Paralegal team members and attorneys
  • Develop, propose and implement policies, procedures and best practices
  • Oversee all aspects of Paralegal performance
  • Prepare the annual budget and exercises cost control
  • Manage the Firm’s third-party corporate service provider relationships and policy compliance for the Corporate and Real Estate departments
  • Manage input and upkeep of the Firm Management Database
  • Identify and confirm Paralegal hiring needs
  • Manage employee career advancement, work performance, and related matters
  • Develop and maintain Paralegal handbooks and resources
  • Manage the onboarding, orientation and training program for new Corporate Paralegals
  • Fosters effective coordination and communication among Paralegals across Departments
  • Manage the ongoing training and development of Corporate Paralegals

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 7+ years of experience as a corporate or real estate paralegal in a coordinating or supervising role
  • Experience providing training and mentorship to junior Paralegals
  • Showcase meticulous organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Possess a high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must be resourceful, detail-oriented, organized and proactive
