POSITION: Construction Litigation Associate

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Represent clients across a broad array of matters

Manage state and federal litigation independently

Negotiate transactions, formalize transaction deals, and handle all related administrative matters, such as compliance and due diligence

Conduct discovery
-
Conduct depositions on a regular basis

Attend court appearances and make procedural decisions, including motion practice

Assist partners and other associates with discovery, as needed

Provide “white-glove” service to high-profile and high net-worth clients, where applicable
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-
J.D. required
-
3+ years of construction litigation experience required
-
Strong understanding of New York Construction Law (e.g., the Lien Law, prompt payment provisions, public and private contracting)

Proficiency with eDiscovery and case management software
-
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
