Position: Client Relationship Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA | Washington, D.C. | New York, NY | Seattle, WA | Santa Monica, CA

Compensation: Base salary up to $160,000 plus performance-based bonus

Overview: Seeking a highly intelligent, diligent and assertive Client Relationship Manager to develop and execute strategic plans focused on strengthening the firm’s on-going relationships with institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Strategically evaluate the needs of partners, practice group leaders and business professionals to identify new areas of opportunities for institutional clients
  • Drive company efficiency through the discovery of new technology solutions, project management, and calculated staffing plans
  • Collaborate with practice management to streamline and maximize the workflow of staff across assigned client matters
  • Organize and manage project forecasting to align with individual project budgets, timelines and billing
  • Spearhead project planning through the estimation of resources, goals and budget constraints
  • Communicate across departments to develop and distribute data/summary reports for key teams within the firm
  • Keep track of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts to remain in conjunction with assigned clients’ needs
  • Remain familiar with joint pro bono opportunities that the firm engages in to highlight new avenues of client relationship development
  • Coordinate, schedule, manage and create an annual calendar in relation to client relationships, deadlines and summits
  • Play a role in the coordination of fee/ retainer negotiations, responses, and track utilization throughout the year
  • Prepare and disseminate quarterly updates
  • Organize secondments through the preparation of audit responses in partnership with legal personnel management
  • Collaborate and serve as point of contact for the Outside Counsel Guidelines  (OCG) management team, preparing communications to internal teams; coordinating new processes; managing profiles and tracking reviews
  • Identify and track Continuing Legal Education (CLE) opportunities for assigned clients with the help of the CLE teams
  • Arrange and organize client events through extensive planning (i.e. Meet & Greet, Client Appreciation and more)
  • Maintain and present the status of annual and quarterly review deliverables; highlight milestones, improved efficiencies, DE&I progress, pro bono projects, goals and initiatives

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of account management and/or customer relationship management experience 
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s Degree or Juris Doctorate preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage client feedback constructively in order to plan and execute big picture results 
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing client programs and materials
  • Strong business acumen with ability to strategically develop and pragmatically execute profitable ideas
  • Thrives in high-pressure, ever-changing and demanding roles
  • Superior communication skills with a talent for developing rapport with a multitude of personalities
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
