Benefits Analyst (Global Law Firm)

Summary: Seeking a Benefits Analyst to support a busy Human Resources department. Candidate must be willing to work independently in a fast-paced, corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage invoicing for carriers, administrators and vendors
- Perform premium and records audits against carrier, payroll and HRIS databases
- Work closely with Accounting to perform general ledger reconciliations
- Collaborate with Payroll, Finance and HRIS to ensure financial accuracy
- Participate in Open Enrollment planning sessions
- Provide phone and email support during the Annual Open Enrollment period
- Support the creation of Partner benefit statements
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of benefit information entered into systems
- Make recommendations to streamline work processes
- Evaluate, develop, implement and provide support for HRIS processes
- Provide technical support to Benefits team on data analytics, annual plan audits, government filings
- Provide HR data analytics support to the global team
- Plan, design and deliver analytical projects that answer key HR-related questions
- Perform data extraction, report generation and data visualization in dashboards
- Generate and analyze data and metrics across the Firm to support data-driven decisions
- Communicate data findings and action items, both verbally and in writing accurately and concisely
- Assist with technology and database projects and assignments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance, Human Resources or related field
- 3+ years of benefits related experience
- Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems such as, Workday, UltiPro, ADP
- Familiar with major benefit laws and regulations, including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA and Health Care Reform
- Prior experience working with benefits systems and benefits plans
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word; with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing
- Able to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities, while handling sensitive matters and maintaining confidentiality
- Able to organize and prioritize work while under pressure in a fast-paced environment
