SUMMARY: The Alumni Manager will work closely with Partners and the Business Development team to support strategic plans to leverage alumni relationships. The ideal candidate will have prior experience developing or supporting an alumni program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Business Development team and partners to implement strategies and action plans to engage the Firm’s alumni
- Follow alumni career changes and identify business development opportunities
- Identify ways in which alumni can network with each other
- Plan and organize Firm-hosted alumni events
- Act as a resource for associates and alumni
- Coordinate with each of the Firm’s offices and the Legal Personnel Department on exit interviews to onboard departing associates to the Firm’s alumni program
- Collaborate with the Recruiting and Legal Personnel Departments on alumni-related initiatives
- Follow trends in alumni programming and outreach
- Oversee production of the Firm’s alumni newsletter and other communications
- Maintain and manage the Firm’s alumni database
- Flexibility to adjust hours to meet departmental needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or JD preferred
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and comfortable working in web-based databases/software
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to build professional relationships and to work with individuals at all seniority levels
- Strong analytical skills with ability to balance short and long term priorities and goals
- Team-oriented and willing to work on other projects as needed
