ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR

SUMMARY: Seeking a Legal Administrative Supervisor to collaborate and interact with the Assistant Director of Administrative Services and ensure that support functions are in place for each practice group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and maintain daily staffing requirements of legal administrative assistants

Assess workflow with floor coordinators

Manage workflow between floor coordinators and practice group centers

Inform director of and document any potential issues

Develop team efforts across all practice groups

Prepare and recommend training, mentoring and individualized assessment training for new and existing legal administrative assistants

Develop and propose new strategies to improve upon cluster and practice group center procedures
-
Manage the integration process of new legal administrative assistants with the procedures and fundamentals of their practice group

Educate attorneys on services provided by legal administrative assistants

Communicate with attorneys and legal administrative assistants to ensure administrative support standards are met

Assist director of administrative services in the annual performance review process
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-
Bachelor's degree preferred
-
3+ years of experience in a role providing legal administrative support, and coordinating/supervising such support, in a law firm

Experience as a supervisor is required

Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs such as, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word with the ability to learn new software and operating systems

Excellent work ethic and strong teamwork skills in a high volume, high pressure environment

Must be flexible, organized, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a calm, pleasant demeanor

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff and clients
