SUMMARY: Top-ranked law firm is seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Coordinator who will be responsible for processing all accounts payable transactions for the Firm. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review all invoices in Chrome River 
  • Ensure proper set-up of vendors and process form W-9s for new vendors
  • Coordinate monthly recurring payments to ensure timely payments
  • Enter wires for payment in banking system and print checks
  • Export invoices from Chrome River into 3E
  • Perform month-end closing routines
  • Upload cost files to 3E
  • Provide sales tax information on invoices to Tax Department
  • Develop best practice procedures for accounting activities
  • Create, maintain and update process documentation
  • Review and process 1099s for year-end
  • Work closely with the Financial Operations Manager and Supervising Accountant to implement and test routing changes in Chrome River
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others
  • Manage Firm resources responsibly
  • Comply with and understand Firm operation, policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a law firm or professional services firm
  • Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate close attention to detail
  • Able to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Able to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Able to organize and prioritize work
  • Able to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Able to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
