Accounting and Compliance Manager
ORGANIZATION: International Law Firm
LOCATION: New York, NY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to the Controller
- Lead and manage a team of 2-4 Accountants
- Develop and maintain relationships with the Firm’s leadership
- Provide mentorship to the accounting team
- Review department staff; recommend improvements depending on performance
- Oversee and manage the annual audit of the firm financial statements and employee benefit plans
- Develop and maintain a library of documents
- Develop and oversee global best practices for the Firm
- Prepare and review balance sheet account analyses and bank reconciliations
- Review monthly reconciliations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and CPA required
- 6+ years of related accounting or financial analysis experience in a professional services environment
- Managerial experience required
- Perform all job duties with a commitment to providing superior service to clients and attorneys while producing a high quality work product
- Able to multitask and prioritize
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
